Love's 208 in Canton, Mississippi, had some unexpected visitors from the National Guard Friday, May 15. The Mississippi National Guard 287th Transportation Company made a scheduled rest stop during a journey to a routine summer training. Love's employees enjoyed playing a role in making the company's travels smoother.

With Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, nearby,  Sgt. 1st Class Maraskine told us The 287th Transportation Company regularly stops at Love’s locations. They also stopped at Love’s 420 in Flowood, Mississippi, the week before.

“We stop here because Love’s is a good truck stop,” Maraskine said. “Every time we stop the service is phenomenal. There is plenty of room for us to move the equipment in and out easily.”

He continued to discuss the great employees and thank Love’s 208 for the free fountain drinks they gave the soldiers.

Maraskine even joked, “I’m sure the soldiers are buying up the goodies inside.”

Jon Flannagan, Love’s 208 Truck Tire Care manager, appreciates when military units stop at Love’s.

“We are proud to have safe and secure facilities for them to utilize when transporting equipment,” Flannagan said. “Plus we enjoy giving back to the servicemen and servicewomen who protect our nation.”

We love offering ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ to the great men and women who serve our country. Love’s is also proud to employee military veterans. If you are a military veteran and want to start your road to success, visit jobs.loves.com
