No Motor Speedway on 5th Street between Walker and Shartel avenues in downtown Oklahoma City was rocking October 4 for Rebuilding Together OKC’s 12th Annual Construction Derby! There was derby racing, tailgating and so much more. Love’s has been a sponsor of the event for multiple years, but this was our first go-around for competing in the downhill race. And, woo, it was a blast!

Even though Love’s didn’t place, we won two awards – Best Dressed Pit Crew, Most Creative Car—and had a lot of fun, too. Most important, it was a great way to get involved in the community and benefit Rebuilding Together OKC, an organization brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income, elderly homeowners in the Oklahoma City metro area.

“Love’s is proud to partner with Rebuilding Together OKC,” Country Franklin, community relations administrator for Love’s, said. “We’re delighted to help improve the homes and lives OKC metro homeowners with the materials and support they need.”

Check out a few pictures of the action from the October 4 event.
