It’s just the beginning of groundbreaking season for Love’s Travel Stops. With more than 40 store locations and ten hotels to open across 28 states, we are just getting started with digging, paving and constructing for 2016.

First up was Okmulgee, Oklahoma, as city officials, members of the community and Love’s Real Estate Project Manager Alex Fuller broke ground along U.S. Highway 75 for the new travel stop that is scheduled to open later this summer. The Okmulgee News Network was there to capture the groundbreaking excitement.

Thank you, Herman Brown from the Okmulgee Times, for photos of the event!

With golden shovels in hand, Van, Texas, officials and Love’s 287 General Manager Roy Horton broke ground for the Love’s operated hotel, a 74-room Fairfield Inn. The hotel is scheduled to open late this year. The hotel will be location across Interstate 20 from the current Love’s 287 location. However, the Tyler Morning Telegraph focused on the brand new travel stop that will be adjacent to the hotel.

Love’s held a groundbreaking ceremony for its travel stop in Port Barre, Louisiana, last week, too. The new location is scheduled to open later this summer.

Love’s Real Estate Project Manager Jon Harpman was there to catch the action.
