The final numbers are in, and more than 3,800 people participated in this year's Redbud Classic, benefiting an organization called Cleats for Kids. More than 900 people participated in Saturday's bicycle tours, and roughly 2,900 ran one of Redbud's courses throughout beautiful Nichols Hills, Oklahoma.

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is a presenting sponsor of the Redbud Classic, which celebrated its 35th anniversary race this year. It's the oldest race of its kind in the Oklahoma City area. The beneficiary, Cleats for Kids, is an Oklahoma-City-based nonprofit that collects and distributes sports shoes, clothes and equipment to kids in need.

In addition to Love's employees who participated in this weekend's races, dozens of corporate employees volunteered at three water stops along the way Sunday afternoon. A huge "thank you" goes out to each Love's employee who volunteered Sunday afternoon and to Corporate Event & Meeting Coordinator Jena Hagen for coordinating volunteer teams!

It was a beautiful afternoon to be outside, and we hope you'll consider bicycling, running or volunteering in 2018, when Redbud puts on its events for the 36th time!
