Trillium and Musket Corp. raise $300,000 for Texas Children’s Hospital

Annual Topgolf event brings together industry leaders to Change Kids’ Health

HOUSTON, Nov. 17, 2021 - Leaders in the energy and fuel industry recently came together in Houston to raise money to change kids' health at Texas Children's Hospital. Houston-based Trillium and Musket Corp., members of the Love's Family of Companies, hosted their eighth annual Drive for a Child (DFAC) golf fundraiser at Topgolf, raising $300,000 for kids in the community.

"Since Musket began hosting this event in 2013, we've seen many familiar faces show up year after year to help kids in the Houston community," said JP Fjeld-Hansen, vice president of Musket. "Through hurricanes and pandemics, our partners' steadfast generosity is nothing short of amazing."

Trillium, a leading provider of renewable and alternative fuel solutions, and Musket Corp., the trading and logistics arm of the Love's Family of Companies, joined 350 people from 96 companies, who they frequently work with, for the event.

DFAC gives participants the unique opportunity to interact with a family who’s benefited from the money raised for Texas Children’s Hospital each year. This year, participants met eight-year-old Logan Gans and his father. Logan was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018, and on Nov. 23, 2020, “rang the bell” at Texas Children’s Cancer Center to signal the end of his cancer treatment.

Since 2013, DFAC has raised more than $2 million for Texas Children's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital. The hospital is the largest children's hospital in the United States and is recognized as a national leader in pediatric care.

"Texas Children's Hospital is honored that Musket Corp. and Trillium have chosen to support the hospital through their Drive for a Child event," said Jennifer Smart, manager of philanthropy for Texas Children's Hospital. "They whole-heartedly share our common vision of improving the health and well-being of the patients we serve. Their advocacy, compassion and philanthropy are making a real difference in the lives of the patients we serve."
