DORE, N.D., August 4, 2011

Musket Corporation announced today a major expansion of its Dore, N.D., crude-by-rail facility. Upon completion, the high-speed loading facility will be capable of moving unit trains of crude oil from the Bakken Shale/Williston Basin to markets across the country. The facility will have a total outbound capacity of 70,000 barrels a day. Additions to the facility include a loading rack for unit trains, fixed tanks and a pipeline connection to Banner Transportation’s Market Center Crude Oil Gathering System located in North Dakota.

Construction began Aug. 1 with plans to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2012. Currently, the site moves manifest rail car shipments to the Gulf Coast, West Coast, and Mid-Continent. Musket also signed a long-term agreement with Banner Pipeline Company to deliver crude oil to the facility.

"We're looking forward to providing increased capacity, reduced costs and access to markets for our growing customer base,” said JP Fjeld-Hansen, managing director of Musket. "We see the Dore site as a strategic fit with our long-term plans for growth in the region."

The Dore Terminal will offer producers a turn-key solution for the growing marketing needs in the Bakken.

“We can provide any or all of the needs associated with rail loading, rail cars, supply chain management, price risk management and end markets,” said Dan House, Musket’s general manager, crude oil.
